And with that, we're going to get started with this week's episode. We're going to be talking about the seven ideas that you need to embody, right?

Last week we were talking about the five mindset shifts you need to make. So here are essentially kind of like seven more for you. This time. We're going to go through them a little bit faster than we did last week. And side note, if you haven't listed the episode last week, definitely go back and do that.

So we're going to start off with number one. The number one idea that I want you to embody is that mistakes are okay, guys, you need to understand, I'm going to say it again, that mistakes are okay.

Mistakes are how we learn. Failure is not fatal. Failure is not final. Failure is simply a learning opportunity for you to be able to do better in whatever it is that you are doing. If you fail the test, don't see it as, oh, my gosh, I failed the test.

Okay, obviously, yes, you did fail the test, but see as an opportunity to say, okay, where did I go wrong? What did I not understand? What did I not learn correctly? How can I improve study habits, right? There's always two sides to every coin here.

There's always something to learn from every single situation. Number two, I want you to learn to appreciate yourself, right? Appreciate yourself. So many times we walk around sometimes even beating ourselves up, degrading ourselves and saying, oh, I wish I could do this, I wish I had this, I wish I had that. And I'm guilty of it too, myself, right?

I always wanted to say all the time, oh, man, I want 17 inch biceps at rest and all these kind of cool things. And I was like, why aren't I happy for the biceps I have now? And I'll catch myself always saying, like, man, I should be happy for the biceps that I have right now. Appreciate yourself. Because if someone else has a goal of saying that they want, let's say, 17 inch biceps and they're at like 14 right now, would you say, yeah, come on, bro, you ain't going to get to know 17, but you got three inches of circumference to get broke, man, you ain't going to do that, man, you ain't going to do that.

Would you tell that person that or would you go and tell them, you know, man, one day at a time to go to the gym, keep eating your protein, keep doing your thing, and you'll be good to go. Which one would you rather hear? Of course, obviously, you'd rather hear option B, because that one sounds encouraging and it sounds like people are on your side, in your corner, cheering you on the whole time. So why is it then that we say option A to ourselves and option B to other people? This is make it easy.

Let's just make option B the whole thing that we talk about the entire time. That would be a whole lot easier, don't you think? If we're able to just be positive with every single person all the time and just constantly give encouragement. Don't ever degrade, don't ever demean. If someone needs the correction, we give it to them as constructive criticism.

We don't say you suck. We just say, hey, here's a way that you can improve. I found that you were doing this, and I do like the way that you're doing this. However, you could possibly improve in this area if you did XYZ, and then I'm not leaving the other party out of this one either. And then if the other party isn't willing to accept that and say, thank you for finding an area where I can improve, I will go back and work on it.

That is how you learn to appreciate yourself. You keep giving yourself constructive criticism and realizing, hey, again, like I said, last week's episode is you versus yourself. It's always a game of trying to improve yourself and become better every single day. Number three, I want you to accept change. Change is inevitable, guys.

Change is absolutely inevitable. It's going to happen regardless of what happens. I don't care if you say, I don't like change. Guess what? Your body's changing every day.

You're getting older, okay? You ain't getting younger, you're getting older. Even your body's changing. So even if you don't like change, you've got to accept that at least that's changing, okay? You have to accept change.

It's tough. It's hard. We are creatures of habit and comfort. That's why it's difficult. But you have to learn to be able to accept change.

And by the first thing you can do to do that is understand that change is inevitable. And once you understand that change is inevitable, you realize, well, there's nothing I can do to stop change from happening. So even if I don't like it, I have to at least roll with it, okay? I didn't ask you to like it. I remember the point.

It says accept it. I didn't say like it. I said accept it because it's a fact, okay? You have to accept the fact that change happens. We can't change the fact that change is there, okay?

Because if you wanted to change the fact that change is there, you're still changing something. So you have to accept the fact that things are not going to stay the same. Things are going to move. Things are going to progress. Whether it be progress forward or progress backwards.

Things are going to move because time always moves. You have to accept the fact that change is there and change is going to occur. Number four. This one kind of goes in with number two, and this one is to not set limits on yourself, right? This one kind of goes with number two, learning to appreciate yourself as you don't want to set limits on yourself.

The way you appreciate yourself is by not setting limits on yourself. Don't tell yourself what you can't do. Tell yourself what you can and what you aspire to do. Do that, and I guarantee you your self confidence going to start rising up, because as long as you keep taking steps day in and day out, 1% better every single day, okay? As if you're in the fitness space, you understand about progressive overload, right?

It's either doing another rep or adding on more weight to the bar or adding another band or whatever it is, either making the resistance harder or adding in more volume. But either way, that is constantly pushing your limits, right? We're trying to beat Vegeta here, guys, okay? In the fitness space, we're trying to beat Vegeta here. And the only way we can do that is if we continue to push ourselves harder and harder and harder.

Why do you think Vegeta always even though he didn't really he always mess with them all the time. He always looked at Goku and said, like a sudden, just said, man, he's always one step ahead. Why do you think he took shortcuts? Why do you think he went majin? Why do you think he tried to take shortcuts when he tried to become Super Saiyan?

Four, because he was always trying to become better. He never set that limit on himself because his pride was too high. He wouldn't dare do that. I want you guys to be the same way. Number five.

Stay in your own lane, guys. Stay in your own lane. Don't be focused on other people and what they're doing. Because, again, like I said, number four, as a small point from that, you don't know how they got there. You look at someone else's lawn next door to you, and you see, oh my gosh.

The grass is so green. You don't know how they did that. You don't know how okay sure you might see a true green truck and so you're wondering, okay all right cool. They got a true green truck but you don't know if that person is spending their last pennies of their paycheck just to have an appearance of their lawn. You have no idea.

Okay so while their lawn looks great, remember you have no idea how they got that. Does the person have the newest iPhone or the newest Samsung? The newest one plus the new is whatever. Yes. Do you know how they got that?

No. Because you can go on Samsung's website right now for example and go get yourself a new phone. And you can either pay the 1000 plus dollars for a new phone outright or you can pay the 20 $50 a month for the next three years. You have no idea if that person is indebted to whatever company they choose for three years. You have no idea.

All you know is all they have the coolest new phone but you have no idea how they got it. So stay in your own lane. Do your own thing. Make sure you have your goals on. Make sure you have your goals as your focal point.

Make sure you have your head on straight and just keep focusing on that. Don't get sidetracked because your favorite word should be no. Okay? If it doesn't help to support your goals it should be no. Number six, it's okay to ask for help.

It's okay to ask for help. It's okay to ask for help. That point could be the point already by itself. But for the smart cookies out there, remember this contact kind of ties into number one. Mistakes are okay.

You're going to make mistakes and as part of making those mistakes is coming back and saying hey guys I need some assistance. I need some help. That's okay to do. I know a lot of us want to be very head strong. I know I can be very headstrong and be like look I want to be able to do this myself.

I'll be able to figure this out. There's just something about figuring out yourself but sometimes you just don't know. Sometimes time is not on your side to figure these things out and sometimes you just got to get some help and that's okay. And lastly number seven, stand up for yourself guys. You have to stand up for yourself because if you don't stand up for yourself no one else is going to stand up for you.

You have to be able to be the party of one, the army of one. The person who is your own cheerlead, the person who's in your own corner. The person who is able to motivate yourself at the end of the day because if you keep depending on it from other people you're going to be waiting for a really, really long time for that to happen. Really long time. You have to learn how to be able to stand up for yourself.

Roll with your own punches, cleaning up your own self, lick your own wounds, and get back up and keep on fighting. It's unfortunate, but that is how the world is. And if you can't do that for yourself, I'm sorry, but a lot of people are not going to come and do that for you because a lot of other people are expecting other people to come and do that for them. And so if everybody's expecting someone to help come and cater to them, no one's going to cater to anybody. Think about it.

If you have a room of ten people, and all ten people think that the person next to them is going to cater to them, and they're just like, well, I'm not going to move until this person caters to me. No one's going to move. So you have to learn how to be able to stand for yourself, cater to yourself before you can go learn how to cater for other people. And that's all I got for you guys. Number one, mistakes are okay. Number two, you need to learn to appreciate yourself. Number three, accept change. Number four, don't set limits on yourself. Number five, stay in your own lane.
