Welcome to the Motivate Grind Succeed podcast! This show is dedicated to helping you improve your life in the four foundational cornerstone areas of faith, fellowship, fitness, and finance.
I share the story of how I realized that overthinking and worrying does more harm than good. If anything, it makes your situation worse. I also talk about how criticizing yourself for everything you're not does more harm than good. You're literally beating yourself up over something you're not good at. I also talk about how getting caught up in surrounding negativity does more harm than good. You are what you eat. If you surround yourself with negativity, you're going to become negative. Lastly, I talk about how wanting to be where others are in life is not healthy. You should use them as a role model, but don't try to be them.
Here are the steps you need to follow to also get personal growth.:
1. Overthinking and worrying
2. Criticizing yourself for everything that you are not
3. Getting caught up in surrounding negativity
1. Overthinking and worrying
Overthinking and worrying can be incredibly detrimental to your mental and emotional wellbeing. If you find yourself constantly worrying about things that you can't control, it's important to take a step back and focus on the things that you can change. One way to do this is to make a plan of action for the things that you can control, and then let go of the things that you can't. It's also important to surround yourself with positive people who will support you, instead of bringing you down.
Another way to combat overthinking and worrying is to practice mindfulness. This means being present in the moment and focusing on your breath. This can be difficult at first, but with practice it can become easier. There are also many apps and websites that can help you with mindfulness. Once you become more mindful, you'll be able to better control your thoughts and emotions. If you find that you're struggling with overthinking and worrying, it's important to seek help from a professional. They can help you understand your thoughts and emotions and provide you with tools to better cope with them. Overthinking and worrying can be incredibly difficult to deal with, but with help, it is possible to improve your mental wellbeing.
2. Criticizing yourself for everything that you are not
If you want to improve your life, it's important to not spend time criticizing yourself for everything you're not. This will only lead to negative thoughts and will not help you achieve your goals. Instead, focus on your positive qualities and what you can do to improve your life.
It's also important to not compare yourself to others. Everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, and you are on your own journey. Comparing yourself to others will only make you feel worse about yourself and will not help you achieve your goals. Focus on your own progress and celebrate your own accomplishments, no matter how small. This will help you stay positive and motivated to continue improving your life.
3. Getting caught up in surrounding negativity
If you want to improve your life, one of the best things you can do is focus on your own journey and not worry about what other people think of you. It’s easy to get caught up in other people’s lives and compare yourself to them, but this will only lead to negative thoughts and feelings. Instead, focus on your own path and what you can do to make yourself happy and successful. Everyone has their own journey in life, so don’t waste your time comparing yourself to others.
Another way to stay positive is to avoid negative people and environments. If you’re constantly surrounded by negativity, it’s going to be hard to stay positive yourself. If you have negative people in your life, try to distance yourself from them as much as possible. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. Instead, surround yourself with positive people and things that make you happy. This will help you stay positive and motivated to achieve your goals. Finally, don’t forget to be grateful for the good things in your life. Even when things are tough, there are always things to be grateful for. Focusing on the positive things in your life can help you stay positive and hopeful during tough times. So don’t forget to appreciate the good things in your life, no matter how small they may seem.
If you want to improve your life, it's important to focus on your own journey and not worry about what other people think of you. It's easy to get caught up in other people's lives and compare yourself to them, but this will only lead to negative thoughts and feelings. Instead, focus on your own path and what you can do to make yourself happy and successful. Everyone has their own journey in life, so don’t waste your time comparing yourself to others.
